The increasing rate of Coronavirus infections are a real concern for us all. The next few weeks and months will continue to be challenging.

The Government’s announcement of a simplification of the lockdown rules has put Newcastle, for the time being, in Tier 2 – meaning that people cannot mix inside with people who are not in their household or support bubble, and cannot mix outside in groups of more than 6.

There continues to be a lot of debate in Parliament and more generally about these new rules.
